If you’re peeking in on this part of our web site out of curiosity only, please know that even if you are a person of no particular faith we have no judgment about that. It’s not what we’re about. To judge, that is. We didn't create this page on our web site to make a religious, political or denominational statement. We're simply singer-songwriters in the world -- seeking meaningful work through our music making shared with others who gather together in the work of community, faith, peace, justice and love in the world -- for all.

Grace Episcopal - Traverse City, MI 7-27-14

"Lynn and Lindy brought a depth of faith and a well of joy in their musical presence in our worship service. As we sang their song "Send Them Love" at the end of our service, we felt renewed in our commitment to God, to one another, and to our service as disciples."

- The Rev. Dr. Rochelle A. (Shelly) Stackhouse |former pastor at Church of the Redeemer UCC | New Haven, CT and now transitional pastor at First Church of Christ | Hartford, CT

“As a frequent guest minister in Unitarian Universalist pulpits around Texas, I've had the great pleasure of working with Adler & Hearne on services for five different UU congregations. At every one, the congregants were inspired, moved and filled with joy by their music! Their songs resonate deeply with our UU values and fit our style of worship perfectly. My personal favorite is “River of Peace,” but there are so many more. Lynn and Lindy’s open and loving spirits shine through every song they share in the service!”

Scottie McIntyre Johnson, Minister | San Marcos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship | San Marcos, TX

"Ever hear a soul sing? A heart? Want to? Bring Lynn and Lindy (a.k.a., Adler and Hearne) to town---to your church. All souled out. That's Lynn and Lindy. Loving God, others, and life through music. Your heart and soul will sing with theirs!"

Randall O'Brien, President | Carson-Newman University | Jefferson City, TN

"It is so much fun to work on creating Sunday worship with Lynn and Lindy. We've done dialogue sermons where I preach and they respond with music and we go back and forth. The congregation just loves it. They are so talented and flexible that without much planning, you can pull off an amazing back and forth between word and song."

Peace to all who enter here!

As fulltime, national-touring ‘itinerant song farmers’ of the Texas Folk variety – Sunday mornings (mostly) find us not sleeping in on the day after our Saturday night performances. Instead, Sunday mornings find us in song again in church services all over the map – figuratively and literally. Songs of praise, songs of reflection and wondering, songs of healing, songs of justice and peace.

A diverse listing of churches  and church-hosted concerts we've played is posted below.

Shining the light on our ‘Sunday Mornings’ with this page suits us. As seasoned Folk singers with shared backgrounds in Gospel and Classical music, and years of performing at venues, festivals, living rooms and listening rooms of all descriptions -- we've found that bringing our songs into the church setting has connected us with some of our most treasured friends, favorite music-making moments, and admittedly – to some of our most memorable potluck dinners!

Our goal here is to build bridges to new opportunities to share our music and fulfill our calling as ‘organic song farmers.’ A phrase we coined years ago that simply means we write songs from the heart -- from what we know, feel, dream, imagine, wonder about, long for, seek and find, or perhaps sparked by things in the world we'd like to help change for the better -- one song at a time.

In case you’re wondering, we do have a ‘church home’ when not on the road. In fact these days we're the interim song leaders at First Methodist of Winnsboro, TX when we're not on the road. Though Episcopal by nature (both of us born and raised Baptist), we’re at home sharing our songs in all spiritual communities where love, peace and justice are the operative words, and where healing, forgiveness and open arms abound.

We hope you find the information and song links on this page helpful, and that you feel assured that as guest musicians Adler & Hearne can be counted on to bring the sensitivity and skill needed to fit seamlessly into the service for your congregation. With our songs there only to complement or serve the message.

Thank you for inviting us to be guest musicians for your Sunday morning service, Sunday afternoon dinner on the grounds or concert series in the church, Saturday night church coffeehouse scene, etc. Making music in the world is our living as well as our mission. We're grateful for the work, on many levels.

Love, peace & healing through song always,

Lynn Adler & Lindy Hearne

YOU'LL FIND ALL OF OUR RECORDINGS TO DATE POSTED ON OUR PAGE AT BANDCAMP.COM

Kindly remember we're Folk singers. That to say, the music you'll find on our BandCamp page is all over the map stylewise, and topicwise. Obviously not all the songs you'll hear are appropriate in a worship setting -- though we usually DO include a one or more of our songs of a spiritual nature in all our shows no matter where we are performing. That's just the way we roll.

Here's that link to the overall page of our discography: https://adlerandhearne.bandcamp.com/
